Belfast¶
The pilot site Belfast (Northern Ireland - UK) includes two areas: Bocombra Lodge building including healthcare offices and a ward of Lurgan hospital.
The first Belfast pilot is located within Bocombra Lodge, a small office building providing community based social support services in a residential area on the outskirts of Craigavon, a small city in County Armagh, located close to the southern shores of Lough Neagh in the centre of Northern Ireland. The pilot area extends over a surface of 30 m2, including a reception office room and a small lobby.
Lurgan is a small town in County Armagh, located close to the southern shores of Lough Neagh in the centre of Northern Ireland, approximately 40km from Belfast. The pilot shall be deployed within one ward of Lurgan Hospital. The hospital is a consultant-led assessment unit within the Southern Health & Social Care Trust providing non-acute inpatient care. The hospital specialises in providing inpatient rehabilitation for people recovering from cardiovascular incidents, surgery or other general medical episodes. The main block at the hospital is 3 storeys and consists of 3 separate medical wards, but the EDISON project involves only ward 1 (487 m2).
